Basil Georgiou is a former partner of Jackson McDonald, where he headed up the Projects, Infrastructure and Construction Law Team. He is past Chair and a Life Member of the Society of Construction Law of Australia. He assisted the SCL Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia in drafting their submissions on security of payment legislative reform.
Lam Wai Loon is an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia, a Chartered Arbitrator (CIArb, UK) and is a qualified adjudicator under the Malaysian Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (“CIPA Act 2012”). Wai Loon is the immediate Past President of the Malaysian Society of Adjudicators, Past President of the Society Construction Law, Malaysia and Past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Malaysia Branch. He has authored and co-authored various legal publications including the text on adjudication law titled ‘Construction Adjudication In Malaysia’ (2nd Edition, Sweet & Maxwell, 2018).
Kelvin Teo is a specialist in resolving complex infrastructure, energy and resource disputes, advising major players in that sphere. His sector experience covers infrastructure projects from nuclear power plants and renewables including wind, hydropower and geothermal; to refineries, mines, railways and expressways; and even giant Ferris wheels. Kelvin carries out his own advocacy across the entire spectrum of dispute resolution mechanisms – from litigation to arbitration, mediation and adjudication, seated both within and out of Singapore. As the head of the Thought Leadership subcommittee of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore), he regularly speaks and publishes articles on construction law issues.
